Panagiotis Kalaitzidis, Co-founder, Director
Panagiotis is an ARB-registered architect and a licensed member of Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) with many years of experience delivering high-end hotels, resorts, and private villas across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. He holds a Master’s in Architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London.
Prior to co-founding Ektós, Panagiotis has held key design roles at world-renowned firms including WATG and 10 Design, leading landmark hospitality and prime residential developments. His portfolio features collaborations with elite brands such as Waldorf Astoria, Mandarin Oriental, Aldar and ORA Development, where he has worked on projects known for their cultural resonance, environmental innovation, and elevated guest and resident experience.
As co-founder of Ektós, Panagiotis blends design sensitivity with strategic vision, shaping concepts into spaces that are not only strikingly distinctive but also intuitively functional. With experience in navigating complex design processes, he grounds every project in its human and local roots, ensuring that each space resonates with purpose, clarity, and cultural depth.
Eirini Tsouknida, Co-founder, Director
Eirini is an ARB-registered architect and licensed member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), holding a Master’s in Urban Design from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, where she graduated top of her class.
With deep professional experience in architecture, sustainability, and integrated research, Eirini brings a visionary yet interdisciplinary approach to the built environment. Before co-founding Ektós, she was involved in leading master-planning and delivery of complex, high-impact projects and landmark developments across the UK, Southern Europe, and the Middle East.
Her work expands at the intersection of design, data, and environmental performance, creating immersive, intelligent spaces that respond to both people and planet. Eirini actively bridges academia and industry through teaching and mentoring roles at University College London, UCL and the University of Southampton, shaping future innovators in the built environment.
Her work has been showcased globally, including the Venice Biennale 2021 and ARS Electronica 2020, highlighting her commitment to high-end, future thinking design.
